On the 11th day of October 2006 two men, one in Illinois, and the other in Alabama, despite the distance between them, decided to create an organization. They worked long days and nights to form an organization that catered to Fathers aspiring to improve themselves and their children. They wanted to design a brotherhood promoting self-confidence, community service, and higher education. They also wanted to create a brotherhood for men to express and share their joys and pains of fatherhood, and care and concern for children and men health and rights issues. Sigma Alpha Xi Fraternity Inc. was created with all of these things in mind. The two founders, donned The Distinguished Men, laid the foundation for this illustrious organization. Honorable Marcus Summers and Honorable Richard Hurt. Both toiled long and hard researching Greek life, its origin and other organizations. They recruited a few friends to help them along the way, these two men, also revered the purpose for Sigma Alpha Xi. They were donned The Charter Members with the assistance of these two intelligent and dedicated men Honorable Langford Roberson and Tnayo Turner Sigma Alpha Xi Fraternity was becoming a reality.

The first Alpha line of Sigma Alpha Xi Fraternity was completed November of 2008 which started with 4 and ended with 2. This was the first national line completed by Sigma Alpha Xi Fraternity and within 6 months an additional line was crossed becoming the beta chapter,
